Dave Ronderos

I am a musician based in Bismarck, North Dakota.  My music blends elements of many different genres, including classical, jazz, blues, and rock, resulting in a unique personal sound.   The song is king, and where the ear and imagination go, the songwriting follows. 

I grew up on a farm and ranch in North Dakota, yet I've always been a traveler, with one foot in North America,  and one foot in South America, as a result of my Colombian ancestry, and my Brazilian wife.  I started out with 12 years of classical piano training, but I'll never forget the first time I heard "Smells Like Teen Spirit" on the radio.  I'm also a huge fan of jazz and bossa nova.  

I'm currently a university professor and researcher (I have a PhD in Neuroscience) and I'm still a farmer raising small grains in North Dakota. I also run a YouTube channel on faith & reason vis-a-vis biological evolution (called "Trees of Life: Evolution & Evangelization").  I'm married to Emi Ronderos, and together we have 7 beautiful kids. 

Most importantly, I'm a Catholic Christian.
